Tandoori chicken

Last night I was too tired to cook and so was my mom so we ended up getting take out...and I know take out is usually some horrible fast food but no...We got some amazing tandoori chicken from this quaint little shop 10 minutes from my home...and let me be the 1st to tell you that his tandoori chicken is amazing!  It's spicy and hot...though you can order it in mild medium or hot...but I'm an Indian so I like it extra spicy! The chicken is flavoured so well that when you break it open you can see the spice right down to the bone! They marinate and leave it to sit for 24 hours before they put it on a tandoor grill to cook. The meat is moist and thoroughly flavoured! It is accompanied by some spicy chips, sauce and a large plain naan bread that is absolutely divine!  Really cannot get enough of this!

Italian baked eggs

On a sunday evening when your so full from a big family lunch and your hungry but not that hungry this satisfies that special kind of hunger. ..Italian baked eggs but my version contains a bit of a twist. I like to spice things up and add my own ingredients so my version of the Italian baked eggs has an Indian take on it...not to much spice but enough to get you going!
RECIPE:
2 eggs
1 tsp oil
1 tblsp milk
Salt and pepper to taste
A pinch of mixed herbs
A handful of grated cheese (any type will do)
A chilli sauce /marinara sauce
METHOD:
grease a ramekin or any dish you can put in the oven with the oil. Cover the base of the dish with sauce. Crack the two eggs on top of the sauce. Then sprinkle the salt and pepper to add and sprinkle the milk over. Layer the cheese over and sprinkle mixes herbs over it. Bake till egg whites are fully cooked.

Bar one cake!

In the weekend I had the most heavenly bar one cake imaginable! It was so chocolatey and amazing and I just wanted to get chocolate wasted!!!(Hehe) But seriously this is a cake you have to try! It's for all chocolate lovers out there who are looking for something so chocolatey and delectable you will just want to die in it! Amazing right! So this cake is from château gateaux which is a patisserie that serves the most divine and decadent desserts and cakes ever! They can be found in any major shopping mall in South Africa and rival some of the world's best chocolate cakes! The heavenly smell that I get when I walk past is enough to make anyone run back just for some heavenly cake!
